LEMGO, Germany (Nov. 3, 2010)—Stockmeier Urethanes said it has made “substantial investments” and expanded polyurethane production, setting up a facility in Lemgo to house the expanded capacity.
Over the last year the prepolymer producer said it has also relocated its administration department and some parts of its production division from Bielefeld to Lemgo, a move it completed in May 2010.
Stockmeier Urethanes also moved its R&D and quality control department in July and said recently that the final construction is finished now with installation of its prepolymer production.
The start-up of its prepolymer production was timed to coincide with the official opening of Stockmeier Urethanes's new location in September.
Stockmeier Urethanes also has production facilities in Cernay, France, and Clarksburg, W.Va.
In polyurethane systems, the company offers products for the construction of sports flooring for outdoors (running tracks, playgrounds, tennis courts), as well as sports halls, children's playground and artificial turf fields.
Stockmeier also offers casting resins and compounds for the electronics industry, as well as hard and soft casting compounds for the manufacture of technical items and molded parts. In addition the company makes adhesives and sealants for industrial applications, including for automotive, industrial batteries, air and oil filtration, panel manufacturing, recycling and consumer products.
