GENEVA, Switzerland (Oct. 21, 2010)—DuPont Performance Polymers has announced price increases in Europe, Middle-East and Africa, for a wide range of its nylon resins and its specialty Hytrel thermoplastic polyester elastomers.
The increases will be effective Dec. 1, or as contracts allow, the firm said, citing continued escalation of costs and growing tightness in the raw materials markets, as the prime factors causing the changes.
The specific increases are as follows:
— Increases of up to 77 cents per pound for DuPont Zytel nylon resins, DuPontZytel HTN high-performance polyamides, DuPont Crastin PBT, DuPont Rynite PET and speciality nylons;
— Increases of up $1.23 per pound on all FR grades of the above products; and
— Increases of up to 46 cents per pound on DuPont Hytrel TPC-ET.
