FULLERTON, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2010)—Yokohama Tire Corp. is raising prices in the U.S. on all consumer tires, including passenger, performance and light truck models, by up to 8 percent, effective Dec. 1.
Yokohama attributed the price hike to the rising cost of raw materials, manufacturing and transportation-related expenses. It said the company also will be making in-line adjustments, which it will announce later. Yokohama's last price increase on consumer tires was June 1.
