AKRON—Rubber & Plastics News is seeking candidates for its 2010 Rubber Industry Executive of the Year.
Each year the RPN editorial staff selects an executive in the North American rubber product industry who has been instrumental in the success of his or her company, or helped further the industry.
Last year's winner was Chuck Chaffee, CEO of BRC Rubber & Plastics Inc., who followed the 2008 recipient, Stephen E. Barton of Esterline Technologies Corp.'s Engineered Materials Group. Other previous winners since the award was created in 1989—and won by Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s Ivan W. Gorr that year—have included Dan Hertz Jr. of Seals Eastern Inc., Kevin Gray of Lauren Manufacturing Inc., Lee Carver of SilPro and Donald E. Morel Jr. of West Pharmaceutical.
Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 2. Each nomination must include the candidate's title, complete company name and an explanation of why he or she deserves the award.
Send nominations to: Editor, Rubber & Plastics News, 1725 Merriman Road, Suite 300, Akron, Ohio 44313; fax 330-836-2831; or e-mail [email protected]
The recipient will be announced in the Dec. 13 issue of RPN.
