WASHINGTON (Sept. 29, 2010)—Bentley Motors Inc. is recalling around 12 Rolls Royce vehicles sold in the U.S. that were fitted with defective replacement brake hoses.
The company said the hoses sold between 2006 and 2009 and were installed on vehicles sold between 1975 and 1980. The replacement hose is made from nitrile rubber, but the compound is not tolerant of glycol ether-based fluids, which could lead to hose failure, and ultimately, brake failure.
