Web strategy, done right, is the highest return on investment (ROI) marketing activity a tire dealer can make. Developing a quality web strategy, however, is much more than the website itself. This paper will focus on the three aspects of a successful web strategy: (1) internet marketing; (2) the website; and (3) maintenance and analysis. My firm, Net Driven, has a unique approach to web development in that we focus on results, not any specific set of tasks, and I will focus on the three key areas of web strategy essential to getting good results (as defined by increased sales). This paper will describe the how’s and whys of successful B2C (business to consumer) internet strategy in their component parts, with the goal of helping the reader make good decisions in developing web strategy and assessing its effectiveness.
