VALENCIA, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2010) — American Pacific Industries Inc. (API) is raising prices in North America on Gladiator-brand medium truck tires by up to 6 percent, effective today.
API, which controls distribution rights for the Gladiator brand name, cited rising raw materials costs “beyond our expectations” for the need to raise prices. Barry Littrell, COO of API, said, “It is our hope that raw material costs will stabilize at some point in the future.”
This is API's third price increase for Gladiator truck tires this year. The firm previously raised prices up to 6 percent on June 15 and up to 8 percent on Feb. 1.
