FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is expanding its logistics operations in Fort Wayne and will move its Supply Chain Management Americas to its existing headquarters building at that site.
The company, which has three locations in northeast Indiana and employs more than 300, said it will add 46 jobs and invest $1.8 million by 2013 at the site. The project will begin in August and is scheduled for completion in October.
The company will invest in remodeling and upgrading the facade and interior of the 38,000-sq.-ft. office building and make cosmetic and lighting improvements to the 90,000-sq.-ft. warehouse. Trelleborg also will add mobile picking equipment, conveyors, packaging equipment, racks and information technology and telecom hardware to the facility.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Trelleborg up to $325,000 in performance-based tax credits based on the company's job creation plans, Trelleborg said. The Fort Wayne Common Council will consider additional property tax phase-in at the request of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance.
