WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (May 10, 2010)—The U.S. division of polyurethane materials producer COIM S.p.A. is expanding polyester polyol capacity by 50 percent at its site in West Deptford by 2011.
The company said the first phase of the project is expected to be completed by 2010 and will include a rail terminal and 15 storage tanks. Financial details weren't disclosed.
The infrastructure and production capacity expansion is needed to support growing demand for COIM's polyester polyols and to complete new projects, said Lucio Siano, vice president of COIM USA Inc. The rail terminal project will facilitate COIM'S supply chain for both raw materials and finished products and provide better service to its North American customers, he said.
