FULLERTON, CA (April 30, 2010)—Yokohama Tire Corp. plans to increase prices on all of its consumer tires by up to 8 percent, effective June 1, the company announced today.
The price hike—which Yokohama said is necessary because of escalating costs of raw materials, manufacturing and transportation—includes passenger, performance and light truck tires.
There will also be some in-line adjustments, the firm said. Off-the-road and commercial tires will not be affected by the increase.
