SOUTH BEND, Ind. (April 27, 2010)—Royal Adhesives and Sealants L.L.C. has finished moving production of epoxy and urethane adhesive products to an expanded manufacturing and research center in South Bend.
The company said it added nine jobs because of the change, and will fill another 12 production, technical and administrative posts next year. The new personnel will support production of its high-performance epoxy and urethane adhesives and electrical encapsulates business.
“By consolidating all of our adhesives production into a single, state of the art plant, we are positioned to be much more efficient and competitive,” said Royal CEO Ted Clark. South Bend is a good location logistically, and the state of Indiana provides investment credit incentives, he said.
Since early 2009, Royal has spent more than $4.3 million to expand the South Bend site.
