NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 23, 2010)—Bridgestone Corp. and two subsidiaries have filed suit against Commerce Max Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, claiming that Commerce Max's Amberstone-brand tires violate the Bridgestone and Firestone trademarks.
Bridgestone seeks an injunction against Commerce Max from using the Amberstone name, plus treble damages and all profits arising from the sale of Amberstone tires.
A Commerce Max spokesman, contacted at the company's headquarters in Pflugerville, Texas, declined comment.
