QINGDAO, China (April 23, 2010)—The new China Railways CRH1 high-speed train is being equipped with air spring systems from ContiTech A.G.
ContiTech Railway Engineering, the rail technology unit of ContiTech Air Spring Systems, will supply air spring systems for 50 of the high-speed trains. The first parts will be delivered to China starting in the fall of 2010. All the trains are scheduled to be complete by 2014.
China said it intends to further improve its rail transport system with increasingly efficient high-speed trains.
