FORT MILL, S.C. (April 20, 2010)—Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. is raising prices June 1 on all consumer and commercial vehicle tires in the U.S. by as much as 7 percent, the second increase this year.
Conti blamed the continuing rise in raw materials costs for the increases. The increases will be imposed on all Continental-, General- and proprietary-brand passenger, light truck and commercial vehicle tires and may vary by product size.
The company last raised prices on passenger and light truck tires Jan. 1 by 5 percent and by up to 8 percent on commercial tires Feb. 1.
CTA did not disclose any pricing change at this time for Canada or Mexico.
