SINGAPORE (April 7, 2010)—Tire brand loyalty is strong in the Indian market, according to a survey from J.D. Power & Associates.
The study reported more than 80 percent of highly satisfied original equipment tire owners (with satisfaction scores averaging above 874 on a 1,000-point scale) said they definitely will buy the same tire brand when they replace their tires. In contrast, only one-third of dissatisfied customers (with satisfaction scores averaging below 733) would buy the same OE brand.
The highly satisfied customers also are more likely to recommend to others their OE tire brand, J.D. Powers said.
The MRF brand ranked highest among original equipment tires in the Indian market with an overall score of 810, followed by Apollo tires, which had a score of 804, the survey said.
