HORGEN, Switzerland (March 31, 2010)—Dow Europe GmbH plans to shut down its methylene diparaphenylene isocyanate production plant in Stade, Germany for an estimated two weeks.
The temporary closure is due to a planned turnaround in mid-April, the company said. However, the exact restart date of the facility has yet to be decided..
Dow Europe, part of the Dow Polyurethanes business group, expects MDI supply to be limited until the Stade plant is up and running again.
