WHITE, Ga. (Feb. 8, 2010)—Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. recently produced its 5 millionth tire at its 4-year-old plant in White.
The factory's annual capacity is 2.5 million tires, with plans to install new machines and expand production capabilities as early as this summer, the tire maker said.
Annual output at the plant is project to reach 4 million tires by 2012.
Open since December 2005, an expansion project was completed last year that doubled the facility's physical size to approximately 1.72 million square feet.
The White factory uses Toyo's automated and proprietary Advanced Tire Operation Module production system.

Among the products made at the plant are: Toyo Proxes ST II and 4; Toyo Open Country M/T and A/T; Nitto Grappler, NT 420S and NT 555.
