AKRON (Feb. 3, 2010)—Goodyear has appointed Curt Andersson, president of the Cooper Crouse-Hinds Division of Cooper Industries, president of its North American Tire business unit.
Andersson, 48, succeeds Richard Kramer, who was elected Goodyear's chief operating officer last June. He has been president of Syracuse, N.Y.-based Crouse-Hinds for six years, and before that, was senior vice president of industrial integration for Timken Co. in Canton, Ohio.
Andersson also spent six years at General Electric Co. in roles of increasing responsibilities in the U.S. and Mexico, culminating as general manager of the aviation information services business from 1999 until 2000, according to Goodyear.
He will join Goodyear Feb. 16.
