NASHVILLE (Jan. 25, 2010)—Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corp. and its North American subsidiaries, Bridgestone Americas Inc. and Bridgestone de Costa Rica S.A., will contribute about $77,000 toward relief efforts in Haiti following the Jan. 12 earthquake there, Bridgestone said.
Bridgestone will contribute 2.5 million yen, or about $27,000, to the Japanese Red Cross Society to aid its Haitian relief efforts. Nashville-based Bridgestone Americas will contribute $25,000 to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, and Bridgestone de Costa Rica will contribute $25,000 to Habitat for Humanity International to rebuild homes in Haiti.
