BRUSSELS, Belgium (Jan. 20, 2010)—For the first time in more than 70 years, French car maker Citroen has selected Bridgestone tires as original equipment fitments.
Bridgestone said it will supply tires for the 2010 C3 compact and the DS3, the first model in Citroen's new premium DS line.
Citroen selected Bridgestone's Potenza RE050A in 17-inch sizes (205/45 R17 88V XL) for the DS3 3-door hatchback. The tire has an asymmetric tread design which provides high-level wet safety and meets Citroen's specification for dry braking performance.
Bridgestone's Turanza ER300 tires were standard in 15-inch rim sizes (185/65 R15 88H) on the new C3 5-door hatchback when it debuted in European showrooms last November.
