MARL, Germany (Jan. 18, 2010)—PolymerLatex GmbH is boosting prices for nitrile rubber latex on Feb. 1, and reported its new plant in Malaysia is up and running.
The company said the increase in butadiene and acrylonitrile prices prompted it to hike NBR latex prices by $150 a metric tons.
The firm also said it has completed the start-up phase of the new NBR plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia. All the factory's production lines now are producing Perbunan NBR, which is used for medical and examination gloves.
