QUINCY, Ill. (Jan. 18, 2009)—Titan Tire Corp. will raise prices on Titan-brand off-the-road, farm and construction tires, and Goodyear-branded farm tires effective March 1.
Titan said the price increase of up to 6 percent will help offset rising raw material, energy and transportation costs. Certain tire prices may rise in excess of 6 percent because of realignment and positioning of the product.
“As the economy begins to emerge from the global economic crisis, we have seen added pressure on input costs,” said Jeff Vasichek, vice president of sales and marketing. “While we may see additional pricing pressure in the future, we continue to focus on customer needs in our markets.”
