LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany (Dec. 22, 2009)—BASF A.G. plans drop the Elastogran name from businesses it owns and change it to BASF.
The Elastogran brand will continue, the firm said.
As an example, BASF said the polyurethane systems business Elastogran GmbH, based in Lemforde in Germany, now will be called BASF Polyurethanes GmbH. The change won't affect the legal form of the companies concerned or existing agreements such as employment contracts or customer contracts.
Companies in about a dozen European countries will take on the new name, starting in January and being completed by the middle of the year, BASF said.
