LAS VEGAS (Dec. 22, 2009)—Phoenix Recycling Technologies has completed construction of a $5.5 million waste tire recycling facility in Las Vegas.
The company said the site—billed as the first full-service tire recycling facility in Nevada—can process more than 2 million passenger and truck tries annually, recycling virtually all of the material. The rubber is used in a variety of applications such as the rubberized asphalt paving process, infill material for sport fields and molded rubber goods production.
Phoenix Recycling is a wholly owned subsidiary of Phoenix Industries L.L.C., a U.S. based, engineering and technologies company that manufactures waste tire recycling plants and asphalt rubber blending equipment for worldwide distribution.
