DALLAS (Dec. 10, 2009)—Oxea, a supplier of polyols used in urethane production, solvents and oxo derivatives, said it will hike polyol prices on Jan. 1 or when contracts allow.
In the U.S. and Asia, prices of neopentylglycol, trimethylolpropane will rise 5 cents a pound, and 1,3 butylene glycol will increase $100 a metric ton. European NPG and TMP prices will go up by 40 euros a ton, and butylene glycol by 75 euros a ton.
