LOS ANGELES (Dec. 7, 2009)—Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. has selected the Bridgestone Turanza EL400 Run-Flat as the exclusive original fitment for the all-wheel-drive versions of the 2011 Sienna minivan.
Toyota debuted the 2011 Sienna, which features five trim levels ranging from a 2.7-liter, 187-hp four-cylinder to a 266-hp, 3.5-liter V-6, at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The AWD option is mated with the V-6 and rolls on 235/550R18 Turanzas.
Bridgestone Americas claims the Turanza EL400 offers a ride comparable with that provided by traditional touring tires while still offering a zero-pressure range of 50 miles at 50 mph. The Turanza EL400 features Bridgestone's third-generation run-flat technology.
Toyota offers a temporary mounted spare tire as an option for the AWD model, according to the vehicle maker's spec sheet.
