WASHINGTON (Dec. 3, 2009)—The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold an external peer review workshop Jan. 6, 2010, to review a draft document titled, “Toxicological Review of Chloroprene.”
Chloroprene is a volatile, flammable liquid used primarily to make polychloroprene rubber.
The agency has hired Versar Inc., a contractor for external scientific peer review, to convene an independent panel of experts and conduct the workshop at the Marriott Courtyard Arlington Crystal City/Reagan National Airport Hotel in Arlington, Va.
Versar will allow the public to register to attend the workshop as observers and provide oral or written comments on the draft document, which was published in the Sept. 29, 2009 Federal Register.
