AKRON (Sept. 16, 2009)—Ford Motor Co. has selected several Goodyear tires as original equipment fitments for the 2010 Ford Taurus.
The standard tire fitments for the restyled Taurus model include the Goodyear Eagle RS-A, Assurance ComforTred and Eagle F1 SuperCar, according to the Akron-based tire maker. The 2010 Taurus is in production now, with models arriving in Ford dealer locations.
The standard tire for the new Ford Taurus Limited is a Goodyear Eagle RS-A in size P255/45R19. Another Goodyear tire—the P235/55R18 Assurance ComforTred—will equip the new Taurus in its SEL version.
Goodyear said the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO (Super High Output) features a performance package that includes the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar tire in a P245/45R20 size.
The Taurus SHO is powered by a 365-horsepower EcoBoost V-6 engine and features all-wheel drive and a paddle-shift six-speed SelectShift Automatic gearbox.
