OSAKA, Japan (Aug. 4, 2009)—Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. will start marking its fuel-efficient tires—those that have at least 10 percent better rolling resistance than conventional products—sold globally with an “Eco” mark the company now uses in Japan.
Toyo said it will mold the mark—a capital E integrated into a stylized leaf—into all passenger, light truck and truck/bus radials that meet the criteria.
Toyo said it aims to shift all products to eco-friendly products by about 2015.
