NOVI, Mich. (May 11, 2009)—Cooper-Standard Automotive's Kunshan, China, has won a Ford Motor Co. supplier award.
The factory received the Q1 Award, which recognizes preferred suppliers that have sustained high levels of performance, Cooper-Standard said. The receipt of the Ford Q1 Award by the Kunshan facility marks the first time Cooper-Standard has earned the Q1 Award in China.
Cooper-Standard's Kunshan plant, which began production in 2006, serves as the company's Asia-Pacific headquarters and produces fluid, body and chassis products. It employs more than 250 and supplies bushings, engine mounts, body mounts, bumpers, vacuum lines, fuel lines and brake lines to auto manufacturers. It also makes industrial construction components.
