WASHINGTON (May 4, 2009)—Bridgestone/Firestone is recalling 1,108 Bridgestone Exedra G850 G motorcycle tires, for possible inner liner cracking caused by torque-induced degradation.
The size 180/70R16 77H tires were sold as original equipment for Triumph Rocket III touring motorcycles, model years 2008 and 2009. In the rear tires only, BFS said, the torque is so high that inner liner cracking and slow air loss can result.
BFS began recalling the motorcycle tires on April 21.
