RED BANK, N.J. (April 30, 2009) —Tillotson Corp. has licensed Ansell Healthcare Products L.L.C. to make Tillotson disposable nitrile gloves in the U.S. and Europe, ending a patent dispute.
In 2007 Tillotson filed legal claims against several glove makers over the gloves, including Ansell, and took the case to the U.S. International Trade Commission, which rejected it.
The agreement settled all disputes between the companies and their affiliates relative to the manufacture and sale of such gloves, the companies said.
The Tillotson patent covers how to produce a synthetic rubber glove that relaxes after being donned and comfortably conforms to the contours of the wearer's hand. Other aspects of the license weren't revealed.
