CLEVELAND (March 11, 2009)—A Cleveland federal district judge has rejected the motion for dismissal filed by defendants including Bayer A.G. and Dow Chemical Co. of Goodyear's antitrust suit claiming the companies attempted to fix prices of butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber in Europe.
Goodyear filed the antitrust suit last May. The European Union had fined the defendants in 2006 for anti-competitive behavior, Goodyear said.
