VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 11, 2009)—Pat Brown recently retired as Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s vice president of corporate branding and communications after 40 years with the company and joined Dealer Strategic Planning Inc. as a facilitator for its 20 Group organization, a Cooper spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman said a couple organizational changes were made based on Brown's retirement.
Michelle Zeisloft will handle media inquiries as Cooper's manager of media relations; Cathy Hissong, director of corporate communications for Cooper, will be responsible for internal communications for the company; and Curtis Schneekloth, director of investor relations, will handle communications for all investor related issues.
In her new role, Brown will be responsible for directing marketing efforts for DSP's 20 Group. The company said the addition of Brown will help attract dealers and provide a resource for advertising and marketing assistance.
20 Groups are organizations, mainly started in the automotive industry, that allow noncompeting companies within an industry to learn better business methods through group discussions where dealers meet to share best practices and benchmark results.
