FINDLAY, Ohio (Feb. 5, 2009)-Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed William Trimarco, an executive with a "strong distribution background," as CEO, replacing Lawrence Seawell, who resigned recently after three years at the helm of the Findlay-based distributor of private label and branded tires.
Hercules, a unit of capital venture firm FdG Associates L.L.C., said Seawell resigned to "pursue other opportunities." He had been with the company about 15 years.
Trimarco joins Hercules from Larson-Juhl, a Norcross, Ga.-based Berkshire-Hathaway company that designs, makes and distributes picture frame moldings. He leaves Larson-Juhl after 27-year career that included serving the past few years as president of international operations.
Howard Romanow, managing director of FdG Associates and member of the Hercules board of directors, lauded Trimarco's operational and leadership skills.
"We think his experience with complex, value-added distribution, international sales and foreign sourcing makes Bill a great fit to lead Hercules," Romanow said, "and we look forward to working with him to help execute the company's business plan."
