DETROIT (Jan. 26, 2009) — Sales of new cars and trucks in the U.S. are expected to fall to an estimated 11.5 million units in 2009, the lowest sales total since 1982, according to Michael Robinette, vice president of forecast services with consulting firm CSM Worldwide.
