AKRON (Jan. 22, 2009)—Mr. Potato Head and a space travel theme will be featured in two 30-second Bridgestone Americas Inc. ads that will be run during the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.
The Bridgestone brand again is the title sponsor of the National Football League championship game's halftime show, which will feature singer Bruce Springsteen. The ads will contain humor while focusing on showcasing Bridgestone tires and their performance, according to Advertising Age, a sister publication of Rubber & Plastics News.
Last year the tire maker ran two 30-second spots during the contest.
