This Report has been authored by:Jean-Claude Brico at Forensic Tire Expertise L.L.C.

The presence of separation between the steel belts has an important effect on all uniformity parameters measured at low and high speed. Radial and lateral force increase with the length of the separation regardless of the width at both speeds for the conditions studied. The fore-and-aft force measured only at high speed shows the same increase with the length of the separation but shows also a slight effect of the width.
