CYPRESS, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2008) — Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has promoted three members of its U.S. corporate team, effective Jan. 1.
Carlos Kibata, who has worked for Toyo for more than 37 years, will serve as chairman of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. Kibata has served as president of subsidiary Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp., president of Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. and most recently, president and CEO of Toyo Tire Holdings.
The company also has promoted Masaharu Yoshimoto to president and CEO of Toyo tire Holdings. Yoshimoto, who joined Toyo in April 1972, most recently served as president and CEO of Toyo in the U.S.
Yasushi Takagi, a 27-year Toyo veteran, has been promoted to president and CEO of Toyo Tire U.S.A. He has previously served as general manager, corporate planning department for Toyo in Japan, and in September was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of Toyo Tire U.S.A.
