CLEVELAND (Dec. 22, 2008)-Parker Hannifin Corp. will lay off a total of 238 workers in January at six U.S. facilities that make either hydraulic hose or fittings.
The cutbacks will be at facilities in Manhattan, Kan.; Alliance, Neb.; Red Oak, Iowa; Deerwood, Minn.; Mason, Mich.; and Manitowoc, Wis.
There may be future recalls of workers, but that will depend on demand for hydraulic hose for multiple industrial applications, according to a company spokesman.
