INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 31, 2008) — Firestone Industrial Products Co. L.L.C.'s Dyersburg, Tenn., plant has won a workplace safety award for the fourth consecutive year.
The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development selected the site for the Governor's Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety, the company said.
The award recognizes Tennessee employers and employees of manufacturing and construction firms that meet lost-time criteria. The Firestone plant employs 130, and has gone more than 300,000 hours without lost time or a restricted duty incident.
The facility is one of eight Tennessee plants to receive the award so far this year, Firestone said.
