HAUBOURDIN, France (Sept. 30, 2008) — Cargill Inc. has opened a sales office in France to support its biobased polyurethanes business.
The office will be responsible for ordering, customs clearance and delivery logistics of Cargill's BiOH line of soya-based polyols. The polyols are used in manufacturing flexible foam for the furniture, bedding and automotive industries, and the company said they can decrease global warming emissions by 36 percent and create a 61-percent reduction in nonrenewable energy use.
Etienne Bauman will serve as commercial lead for the office.
