HANOVER, Germany (Sept. 19, 2008) — Continental A.G. has moved three executives into different positions to “further strengthen the exchange between the original equipment (OE) and replacement market business,” the company said.
On Sept. 1, Nikolai Setzer became head of the company's replacement passenger and light truck tire market for Europe and Africa. In addition, he will be responsible for worldwide marketing of the passenger and light truck tire division along with Alan Hippe, Conti's vice chairman of the executive board, to whom he will report.
Setzer replaces Karlheinz Evertz, who has assumed management of Conti's worldwide OE passenger and light truck tires business. He continues to report to Hippe.
Hartmut Wohler, who was previously in charge of Conti's European commercial business within its ContiTrade business unit, on Aug. 1 became head of marketing and sales for the passenger and light truck tire replacement market in Europe and Africa. He will now report to Setzer.
