HOUSTON (Sept. 4, 2008) — ExxonMobil Chemical Co. has reached a compounding agreement with Resin & Pigment Technologies Pte. Ltd. that Exxon said will improve its specialty compound supply in Asia-Pacific.
Under the agreement, the EnGro Corp. Ltd. subsidiary will make a broad range of ExxonMobil Chemical's specialty compounds for use in automotive interior and exterior applications, appliances and consumer products.
Resin & Pigment's facility is located in Jurong Island, Singapore, near Exxon's petrochemical complex there. R&P's facility is certified to ISO:9001 as well as the ISO/TS 16949 automotive standard.
"Because this simplifies the supply chain, we can respond more quickly to changes in demand," said Jim McKinley, manager for ExxonMobil Chemical's specialty compounds business.
