ALTDORF, Switzerland (Sept. 2, 2008) — Daetwyler Group said it achieve record sales and earnings in the first half of 2008, with the firm's rubber division showing a 3.2-percent rise in operating profits.
The firm said its total net revenue rose 8.4 percent to $585.4 million in the half. Daetwyler Rubber's operating profits rose to $6.05 million as sales increased 2.6 percent to $72.3 million, despite a decline in the automotive sector in the U.S. and weaker construction activity in Europe.
