HAMBURG, N.J. (Aug. 22, 2008) — Ames Corp. has been awarded a gas mask component molding contract that will lead to the creation of 30 manufacturing and operation jobs along with the addition of new machinery.
The company did not say who awarded the contract or what it was worth. The new contract covers face blanks, second skins, nose cups, sipper tubes and outlet valves.
Ames said it was selected for the project because it has been providing similar molded components to a number of gas mask manufacturers globally for the last 13 years.
“Our existing gas mask component customers have given us extremely high marks for our close attention to the stringent quality standards required of these critical components,” said President and CEO Chuck Roberts.
