LEVERKUSEN, Germany (Aug. 4, 2008) — Specialty chemicals supplier Lanxess A.G. has increased its prices worldwide for two of its synthetic rubber grades effective Aug. 1.
The company's Technical Rubber Products business unit has raised prices by up to about $390 per metric ton for its Baypren polychloroprene and up to about $625 per metric ton for Perbunan/Krynac nitrile rubber.
The price adjustment was made because of rising raw material and energy costs, Lanxess said.
