WEINHEIM, Germany (July 31, 2008) — Freudenberg Mektec Europa GmbH is planning a move into the Weinheim Technology Park by the end of the year that will cost the company $9.2 million.
The firm — a joint venture between Freudenberg and Japan's NOK Corp. — will employ 160 at the new 80,700-sq-ft. Mektec Technology Center. The project area can double in necessary in the future, the company said.
The site will develop know-how for flexible printed-circuit boards. The firm works with the automotive and industrial electronics, medical engineering and telecommunications industries.
