STOCKHOLM, Sweden (July 24, 2008) — Trelleborg A.B. reported flat aftertax profits of $79.8 million and a 2.5-percent decline in operating income for the first half of its fiscal year, although sales rose 4.2 percent.
The company said its operating profits were $150.9 million for the period, and sales reached $2.72 billion.
The Swedish manufacturer also reported the financial impact of the marine hose pricefixing case—of which two of its subsidiaries are involved—is uncertain, but could be as large as most of the firm's 2006 pretax profits.
