The paper will present findings related to a study conducted for improving the performance of latex films, specifically those manufactured using nitrile as the base polymer. Using the process of dip molding, it is believed that certain surfactant additives to on-line leaching has potential of reducing ions and metal content in nitrile films. This technology would prove compelling for firms using nitrile gloves or nitrile finger cots as a protective barrier in several consumer sectors, particularly the electronics industry.
